We don’t know how to put out the fires without the help of mother nature, but we do know about the design and construction of buildings.
Here we will endeavour to create and compile a number of resources on this topic over the coming weeks and months.
Today is a small start to the project, but we will continually add and update information.
The sections live to date are:
Preparedness and
Bushfire Attack Levels
We have set up additional sections that will be addressed as we go and we invite you to contribute and provide feedback.
The current bushfire emergency has created a collective anxiety about treasured places and loved ones at risk and the future of the Australian dream of living within the landscape.
No matter if at risk now or worried about future events, we feel a certain helplessness facing disaster. A cure for this is to take action ourselves.
The information collated here is provided to assist in understanding issues around bushfire risk, risk mitigation and bushfire resilience as it relates to the built environment.
We endeavour to keep all information up to date and as relevant as possible, but it is important to note that some sections contain personal experiences, preferences and opinions and do not constitute official or legal advice.
Contributions to this information database are greatly welcome and we will try to expand on it as soon as possible. This happens parallel to our studio practice, so we offer our apologies for any delays in publication.
