A sleep-out bedroom on a verandah of a home in the NSW Southern highlands. Small project, big impact for a family previously tight on space for creative and everyday endeavours. A tight budget resulted in a reduced material palette. Fixed glazing of toughened glass pool fencing, face fixed and ventilation via side hung doors.
Custom furniture - bed, sitting space, desk, shelves and pet galah roost (naturally), were required to make the most of the small space. Activating a previously under-utilised verandah, such projects are a great example of how much is possible for clients with an open mind.
