Cloud Cottage is one of three projects in the running for the NSW Country Division architecture awards celebrated as part of this years annual conference in Byron Bay next week.
It is a project influenced as much by its location below Mount Gibraltar within a heritage area, as by the clients enquiring and artistic personalities. Read more about this project and the awards program in todays Southern Highlands News.

We are delighted that the Exoskeleton House has progressed to the Dezeen Awards 2019 Shortlist in the residential rebirth category amongst only 5 other international projects: a beautiful brick extension in Melbourne by Matt Gibson Architecture, loft studios in a former furniture factory in Russia by DNK, a brutalist concrete home in Germany by J Mayer H, a house on the Great Wall of China by MDDM Studio and an experimental living concept in Belgium by TC Plus.

A new lease of life. Works are nearing completion for the renovation and alterations to a unique home skilfully executed by Jason Miles Builder. Originally built based on an octagonal plan and with materials squirrelled away from the local steel works, this project is all about embracing its unique character, oddities and opportunities.

The Exoskeleton House has been longlisted for the 2019 International Dezeen Awards in the residential re-birth category. Takt is honoured to have been selected amongst many amazing architects and designers. The shortlist will be announced in September.

We are excited to announce that the Blade House in Coledale has been shortlisted for the 2019 Houses awards. The Houses awards are an annual national architecture awards program presented by Houses magazine, and celebrating Australia’s best residential projects.
The awards will be announced in July in Melbourne and we are stoked to find our work in such amazing company on a shortlist chosen from hundreds of entries across nine categories.
